Time for Bennie Thompson to resign

Yesterday we told you about the despicable comments from one of Congressmen Bennie Thompson’s staffers. Jacqueline Marsaw, a field coordinator for the Congressman, said she wished the person who attempted to kill former President Donald Trump on Saturday didn’t miss.

This behavior is unacceptable. But keep in mind it was Thompson who introduced legislation just a few months ago to strip Trump of Secret Service protections.

Friends, Bennie Thompson is one of just four Congressmen Mississippi sends to Washington. He represents about a quarter of the state. Regardless of your political beliefs, he needs to do better and we need to do better. 

Firing his staffer is not enough.
