We have much to be thankful for

Thanksgiving is such a special day of the year, even though so many seem to skip right over it these days.
I believe that’s unfortunate. We should use this occasion to remember how fortunate we are and to celebrate our countless blessings. Let’s be thankful that, despite her flaws, we live in the greatest country in the history of the world. A country that recognizes our God-given, unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness—rights that pre-date any government.
We live in a nation of laws, a nation that boldly claims that we are all created equal. A country that allows anyone to rise, regardless of where they came from. A country that recognizes our freedom of religion, freedom of speech, free markets, and private property rights like no other sovereign nation in the history of humanity. Today, we—unlike even many of our western allies— may freely petition the government and speak up in support of our beliefs.
And after this November’s elections, I am thankful that Donald Trump will return to the White House. It will be a new day in Washington. And in America. One where the culture begins to recover and where we can begin to return to…sanity. Make America Normal Again.
For all of these things, I am very grateful. But I am also thankful for a God who, despite all of my faults, sacrificed His own son to save me – and you.
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
His mercies truly are new every morning, and I am deeply grateful.
I hope you have a great Thanksgiving. I hope you get the chance to enjoy time with family and friends. Eat your favorite Thanksgiving food. Watch football. Go hunting.
As for me, I am also thankful for each of you. Each person who takes the time to read this. To call their lawmakers. And I am thankful for each of you who joins us in our fight to protect Mississippi’s values against radical leftists who want to control every institution, and every child, in this state. We might have been victorious on Election Day, but we must remain steadfast in defense of sanity, women, parents, and children in Mississippi, and to commit ourselves to the fight for freedom and prosperity for all Mississipians.
Thank you!
